Luanginga and Silanda Bridges Commissioned in Kalabo District

President Hichilema commissioned the Luanginga and Silanda Bridges across the Luanginga River in Kalabo District, Western Province, on 6 May 2026. The bridges are expected to significantly improve connectivity, transport, and economic activity for communities in the region, particularly during the rainy season when roads in the Barotse Floodplain become impassable.
