Host / Guest: Lobito Trans-Africa Corridor Summit; President Joao Lourenco of Angola

Purpose: Attended the Multilateral Summit on the Lobito Trans-Africa Corridor in Benguela and Luanda. Met with US President Joe Biden, Angolan President Joao Lourenco, DRC President Felix Tshisekedi and Tanzanian Vice President Philip Mpango. Hichilema emphasised the vital importance of the 1,300-kilometre Lobito Corridor rail line linking copper-rich Zambia to the port of Lobito as a strategic economic corridor for the region.
