4.9 Million Citizens Now Have Access to Clean Water

Under the Hichilema administration, access to clean and safe water has been significantly expanded, with 4.9 million citizens now benefiting from improved water supply. This has been achieved through the construction of over 2,000 boreholes, 491 piped water schemes, and 2,700 water and sanitation facilities built through the Constituency Development Fund. The expansion forms part of the government's broader commitment to improving the quality of life for all Zambians, particularly in rural and peri-urban communities.
